You are in a position of honor. Your close friend is assuming the position and he needs your help. He has asked you to be his "best man", to stand by his side and support him through his last act as a free man. You relish your thoughts of all the fun aspects of your job; you get to help coordinate a stag party, ok, so maybe that's the extent of the fun parts. Still you want to help your old buddy make as cool and smooth transition to the other side as possible; you want to be the best best man you can be. You're going to have to make a speech, a verbal representation of good times past, current times observed in a promising light, and words of ominous wisdom pertaining to the future of the newly linked couple. When a bride has discovered the dress of her dreams her attention is turned to thoughts about how she will accessorise it, this will ordinarily consider the brides personality and individual type and give her an opportunity to express her creativity. An outgoing bride having a significant confident personality may well select a bridal accessory which reflects her assertiveness such as a head-turning statement pearl bridal necklace or a flamboyant bridal choker cascading necklace. This can also reflect the embellishment and detail in her gown and depending on whether it contains pearls or crystal detail; she could choose an extravagant pearl cascade necklace or even a crystal cascade necklace to compliment it. Deciding on the best bridal necklace is just as significant as choosing the right bridal gown for it portrays a complete image, an overall look, which the bride has worked difficult to achieve. There are various kinds of wedding ceremony necklaces for a bride to give consideration to and what...
Happy 60th anniversary, Nana and Grandpa/Mom and Dad! There are so many special memories that we have because of you. Annual trips to Redfish Lake (before and after the whole world discovered our gem!), summers with cousins, trips to Disneyland and Knottsberry Farm, fishing at Silvercreek, family reunions, and holidays together. The motor home was always present and gave us some really funny stories (snowing at Redfish in July and microwave popcorn that smelled like the gas had been left on all night!). You are the cornerstone of our family and we are all so thankful that 60 years ago you decided to become a family. We love you so much! Congratulations and thank you for the loving example you have been to all of us. Our family is truly blessed to be loved by you. All our love, Mike, Sue, Steph, Kristy, Don, Shawna, Jake, Candace, Triston, Carson, Kaitlyn, and Morgan. John and Kellie Mzik, St. George, Utah, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Katie, to Philip Dayley, son of Eric and Chrys Dayley, Pocatello, Idaho. Katie and Philip will be married on July 31, 2010, at Heritage Gardens in Sandy, Utah. The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Snow Canyon High School, where she was active in theater, cross country, and National Honor Society. In May 2010, she graduated from University of Utah with a degree in stage management. She is employed by Pioneer Theater in Salt Lake City. The groom-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Pocatello High School, where he was active in choir, band, and National Honor Society. He currently attends University of Utah, where he is finishing a degree in psychology. He plans to graduate in December 2010. He is employed by a private psychology practice in Salt Lake City. We all know this is wedding season when the weather warms up and the invitations come in the mail. I especially love the ones with magnets on the back because they are so easy to hang on my fridge. Photos look wonderful, the embelishments are unique, and then there is the little slip of paper in there that mentions where the bride and groom have made wedding registries at. They are ususally Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, or stores like that. What if you could make one for Scentsy?! Well now you can. Scentsy Wickless candles are safe, stylish, and they fill your entire home with their powerful aromatics. There are over 80 different scents available which means there will be a scent for everyone!
Please get in touch with me if you are interested in creating a wedding registry with me. With the wedding registry we set up a time to meet and go over the products. Theme #1: Chocolate theme wedding favors Should you have white chocolate or dark chocolate wedding favors? Maybe a combination of both milk and dark chocolate almond would be a good idea? Or maybe choose a combination of white chocolate and dark chocolate in one wedding favor. The best idea is to have one flavor of chocolate for the wedding favors. The more flavors you have, the more costly the favors will become. You will probably already have a chocolate fountain, so you can than choose a different flavor of chocolate for the fountain Next you must decide on the design and style of the chocolate wedding favor. You could choose chocolate cookies on a stick, covered chocolate hearts, chocolate m&m's, chocolate mints, plain chocolate bars or get very extravagant and have little chocolate swans or chocolate basket wedding favors. Actually, the possibilities are endless when it comes to choosing the design and style of your chocolate wedding favor. But what is absolutely necessary to complete your chocolate... Weddings are all about love, so why not express that sentiment with a romantic wedding gown There are certain fabrics, styles, and features which can go a long way to enhance the romantic flavor of a bridal gown Weddings are all about love, so why not express that sentiment with a romantic wedding gown? There are certain fabrics, styles, and features which can go a long way to enhance the romantic flavor of a bridal gown. These are some of the most romantic wedding dresses, which are sure to appeal to any bride. One thing that all romantic wedding gowns have in common is that they are soft and feminine. A romantic gown is not too modern, architectural, or overtly sexy. Remember that romance is love suggested rather than bluntly revealed; in other words, the surprise of a slightly low cut back on a wedding dress could be romantic, but a plunging neckline that reveals all of the bridal ?goodies?, is too overt and crass to be romantic. Fabric has a lot to do with creating a romantic effect. Soft and sheer...

You can get many different styles of baskets and pillows. The baskets...
Los Angeles Times (MCT) LOS ANGELES — There's an adage that finding the perfect wedding dress is like finding a perfect partner: You want one that hugs your body, offers support, lifts you up and makes you feel beautiful. So wouldn't it be great to get a dress from a brand that, like your future spouse, you trust to give you these things on an average Wednesday as well as on what's supposed to be the most memorable day of your life? That seems to be the philosophy behind the slew of major mass-market retailers now offering bridal gowns. It was an idea popularized by J. Crew, which launched its Weddings and Parties collection in 2004 after noticing women were buying some dresses in multiples to use for bridesmaids or in white to use for themselves. The notion then grew to include Isaac Mizrahi's Target dresses, Viktor & Rolf's design for H&M and others. The trend seems to be exploding now, tapping today's market of more budget-conscious brides with gowns from the Limited, Ann...
The selfish bridezilla might soon face extinction – many blushing brides now plan weddings that benefit others. From donating leftover food to renting “green” venues, couples are finding creative ways to improve lives as they start new lives together. CharityChoice, a nonprofit organization that promotes charitable giving, offers the following tips for couples hoping to give back even as they celebrate their union: • Put charities on your wedding registry. Instead of listing KitchenAid stand mixers and new cutlery on your registry, ask guests to donate to charitable causes that are meaningful to you as their wedding gift. For example, their Web site, www.mycharitablewedding.org, allows couples to create wedding gift registries that name the organizations that they want to benefit. A pair of animal lovers might name the American Humane Society, while tree-huggers might ask guests to donate to Greenpeace or the Sierra Club. You may select your favorites from CharityChoice’s broad...

Tips for Creating A Joyful and Peaceful Hour Before Your Wedding Ceremony ~ No Chaos! 1) Insure Your Officiant Is Also A Director or "Air Traffic Controller" When you are interviewing your Officiant or Minister (especially if you are being... McClatchy-Tribune News Service The only thing worse than having your life flash before you, is having your life flash before you stuck in a bridesmaid's dress. A word of caution to all you bridesmaids out there this season: Travel with a toolbox. Our youngest daughter recently was held hostage by a knee-length, ruched, bridesmaid's dress. She'd picked the dress up from an alteration shop where it had undergone a nip and tuck, returned to her apartment and tried on the dress, which had been in her words, "reasonably priced." She zipped it up and the zipper caught. She tried to free the zipper and the zipper split. The zipper was at a standstill halfway up and halfway down. There was no pulling the fitted dress off overhead and no slithering out of the bottom. When she called, I thought I could talk her through the crisis by phone. I'm usually good at that kind of thing — calm, reassuring. I said, "Ha, ha, ha, ha! You're kidding, right?" I drove across town and worked on the zipper myself...

Members of the bridal party sacrifice a lot of time, energy, and money to make sure everything goes smoothly from the wedding shower to the bachelor party to the big day itself. The tradition of giving gifts to the members of your bridal party is the way that you show your appreciation for everything that they have done for you. By Alexia Elejalde-Ruiz Chicago Tribune (MCT) Charlie and Linda Bloom, relationship therapists living in Santa Cruz, Calif., came close to divorce a couple of times during their 37-year marriage. What kept them together, they said, was commitment — but not the blind kind that keeps people hanging on in misery. "It's not commitment to the marriage or commitment to staying together," Charlie Bloom said. "It's commitment to the process of using this relationship to grow and make something of our lives that's greater than it could have been if we'd been on our own." "We made a pact early on that we would live the growth model of a relationship rather than the comfort/security model," Linda Bloom said. The Blooms this year published "Secrets of Great Marriages" (New World Library), a collection of first-person accounts from 27 couples whom the Blooms consider to have extraordinary relationships. The couples, together an average of 31 years, are not paradigms of uninterrupted bliss, but examples of people who...
Being asked to serve as a bridesmaid is a great honor. It is the bride's way of saying that of all the people in the world, there is no one she would rather have with her as she ties the knot. Of course being a bridesmaid isn't always easy (depending mostly on the personality of the bride!), and there can be some confusion over what an attendant should expect to do to help with the wedding. This is how to be a great bridesmaid, and in turn, a truly great friend. One: Be supportive of the bride. Planning a wedding can be a highly emotional time for a woman, and she will definitely need her close friends to stand by her side. Whether it is helping her through a fight with her mom over the wedding gown, arguing with her fiance about their future plans once they are married, or panic over getting in shape for the wedding, lend an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. A word of warning: if the bride gets into a nasty fight with her fiance, be supportive, but never take it as a chance to say anything negative about... 2011 might seem like a long way off, but bridal gown designers are already hard at work creating the beautiful styles which brides next year will all be coveting. Set to debut in a few months, the first crop of 2011 gowns are embellished with many dimensional details, lots of handstitched crystals, and large floral appliques. Take a sneak peek into the romantic style of the latest wedding gown trends. For the last few seasons, ruffles have been one of the biggest ways that designers have chosen to add volume and visual interest to their gowns. The bridal gowns which are set to debut soon move away from the ruffle trend, but not from the idea of using embellishments to add volume and femininity. Instead of ruffles, look for gowns with hundreds of tiny three dimensional flowers stitched all over them. Soft petals are another favorite decoration for the romantic gowns for 2011. Oversized clusters of flower "corsages" are another big trend, and they are primarily being used as accents on waistlines or shoulders. One... There are so many great things about being a bride, and one of those is getting to learn about all sorts of wonderful wedding customs. Many of the traditions are familiar to us, as they have been a part of weddings for generations. Yet it is even more fun to use some of these charming old customs when you understand the reason behind them. This is a look at a number of the best wedding customs, as well as their origins. Bridesmaids: Everyone knows that bridesmaids are a traditional part of a wedding, but not many people know the reason behind the role. It was once believed that evil spirits were drawn to brides. To protect the bride, a group of her friends would gather around her in identical clothing so that the wicked entities would be confused and unable to tell which woman was his intended target. What nice friends! When you go shopping for your bridesmaid gifts, keep in mind that your attendants are really putting themselves out there as decoys for evil spirits; such service should be handsomely rewarded...
7 Ways To Celebrate Your Wedding Anniversary
by funfilms Your wedding anniversary is a major event. Prepare for your wedding anniversary celebration in advance so that everything goes smoothly 1. Start off right. Get up before she does to prepare a quick breakfast. Serve her breakfast in bed. You might want to plan out the menu and buy the necessary things you need to cook a great breakfast the day before your anniversary. Take a shower after that and return to her side. On the other hand, if you are the sort who makes a major mess of the kitchen whenever you cook anything or even when you make a cup of tea, then skip the breakfast in bed part. She might have a fit when she sees the kitchen after that. Wedding Planner 2. Present her with a bouquet of roses. Order the roses a day or more in advance and have them delivered right to the doorstep. She might chide you for wasting money, but she would be secretly very pleased with that romantic gesture. 3. If your kids are still young, book a babysitter in advance. You...
